How it all began
The story behind Miss Gourmet & Co began in Western Australia. Kirsten Duffield’s father was passionate about high-quality food and retailing; his first business opening in the 1960’s. By the 1980’s this business had become a large establishment with the service, products and approach becoming a household name for superior quality and taste. This passion for food retailing was passed on to his daughters – Kirsten & Bronwyn. In 2004 Bronwyn created Liquorice Gourmet Foods in WA which quickly grew to four stores and Kirsten joining the team. Keen to expand the concept to Victoria, Kirsten opened Miss Gourmet & Co in Hawthorn in late 2016. Kirsten is joined by her partner Adrian, who is another passionate foodie who has worked with iconic Peter Rowland Catering. Adrian’s background in teaching, marketing and professional sport keeps the two of them always on the lookout for the best tasting produce and health foods. Together they own, run and operate Miss Gourmet & Co.
